THANK YOU SPONSORS - Masterpiece Images

The Miss America program is a nonprofit organization and it would not run without charitable sponsors. I'm so thankful for my amazing sponsors this year. Masterpiece Images in Ogden Utah have done my photo's and sponsored my tribute page for the Miss Utah 2011 pageant. Their phone number is (801) 612-9799. Check out their webpage at  http://mpiphotovideo.com/. They do family portraits.. wedding photography.. they do incredible video's and more! It's worth taking a look. I was beyond impressed. Here is a sneak peak of a few of my photos from our shoot.

Son's of Utah Pioneers dinner

March 15th I had the opportunity to sing at the Son's of Utah Pioneers dinner. The Son's of Utah Pioneers mission is to remember the Pioneers and respect honor and admire their struggles for freedom and faith. A quote from their webpage explains their passion, "The more of their heroic struggle. Appreciate more their dauntless faith in God, their devotion to their church and to their families, their amazing courage and determination as they faced unknown frontiers, and the integrity of their purpose that kept them moving forward until they achieved what they sought."

This was an incredible honor for me because I was awarded the Son's of Utah Pioneers Scholarship 3 years ago. It was so much fun to make new friends and explain what the Miss Davis County program is about.

Finding Yourself Through Service

Today I launched my program "Find Yourself through Service" at Jenny P Stewart Elementary. The children seemed really excited and I am excited to see how long their service chain is going to be! I received lots of hugs, laughs and stories about different ways to serve. What a great day. Stay tunned to see how Jenny P Stewart Elementary does!

Snow Horse Elementary Family Fairytale Festival

What a great way to get children excited about school and about reading. Way to go Snow Horse Elementary. Thursday night March 3rd I was able to be part of Reading Week at Snow Horse Elementary in Kaysville. Family Fairytale Festival was the activity I participated in. The theme was "Get Tangled in a good book".  Families were encouraged to dress up in fairytale attire. Sticking with the "fairytale" theme, I was the local "princess" and wore my gown, sash and crown. I read twice as a guest reader. I read "Who Wants A Dragon?" and "The Paper Bag Princess". There was readers set up in one corner and activities going on around.  Making swords and magic wands, a refreshment area, and a "store" where kids were able to do a book exchange. It was so much fun and a wonderful way to get our community and children involved in the importance of reading! What a success Snow Horse Elementary, and thank you for letting me part of it!

National Pancake Day at Centerville IHOP

Today was National Pancake Day! IHOP's nation wide offered one complimentary short stack! In return for the free flapjacks, they ask you to consider leaving a little something behind for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and other designated local charities. Title holders helped promote this event all over the Nation as well. I had the privilege of promoting National Pancake day at the Centerville IHOP! I made a lot of friends and we raised a lot of money for the Primary Children's Medical Center.
Me and the cook got along really well. He let me flip some pancakes.
The cook!
So many people were incredibly generous.
She loved the donation box!

I took a break to eat with my family! They loved the food and the cause and donated of course!
